Workshop on Managing children with behavioural problems at home applying Sensory Integration
Introduction
Children with behavioural problems due to various reasons like autism, sensory processing disorder as well as developmental disabilities, continue to be a topic of thought, research, controversy, and discussion. Using sensory integration process, children receive information through their senses, organize this information, and use it to participate in daily activities during bath time, meal time, play time etc. Many aspects of home and family life may be affected when living with a child with behavioural problems; and parents feel the most how hectic and chaotic it can be at home. Applying sensory integration activities efficiently at home would help parents/caregivers to manage their child’s behaviour.
Workshop Objectives
After successful completion of the workshop, participants should be able to:
Understand what is sensory integration, how important it is for development of a child and helping a child to participate in daily life;
Recognize how sensory differences can affect behaviour, learning, emotions and communication;
Perform basic sensory integration techniques to manage behaviour of a child at home.
Workshop Structure
The workshop is designed with lectures, interactive discussions, group and individual exercises that focus on daily activities of children at home. It will begin through participants’ registration from 9:00 am and will close by 5:00 pm with take home messages.

Parents/ caregivers of special children (e.g. Children with Autism)
Parents/ caregivers who have children with behavioural problems

Course fee
The course fee is 1500 BDT (Taka Fifteen Hundred).
How to Pay?
The preferred method of payment is Online using Mobile Banking (e.g. BKash, DBBL, MCash, MY Cash), Credit or Debit Card. However, participants can also make payment directly to faith Bangladesh office.
Selection of participants
All interested participants will be selected on first come first serve basis, and will be notified immediately by email or SMS or over telephone. The seats will be confirmed only when the fee is received.
Certification
After successful completion of the workshop, each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
