Systematic Review
Centre for Systematic Review (CSR)
faith Bangladesh is committed to evidence synthesis, assembling and analyzing data from multiple research studies to generate sound evidence and policy relevant research. Our systematic reviews use objective and transparent methods to identify, evaluate and summarize the best available research evidence to help make informed decisions about health and social care. Through the dissemination of high quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses, we promote the use of research evidence in decision-making for health. Our reviews cover a wide range of health care topics including non-communicable diseases and mental health, using objective, systematic, transparent and replicable methods.
Our review team that manages and conducts the review have a range of skills including the expertise in systematic review methods, information retrieval, the relevant topic area, statistics, health economics and/or qualitative research methods where appropriate. In addition to the team who undertake the review there is a number of individuals (advisory group) who are consulted at various stages, including health care professionals, patient representatives, service users and experts in research methods. They provide comment on the protocol and final report and provide input to ensure that the review has practical relevance to likely end users.
faith Bangladesh holds national and regional capacity-building workshops to develop individual and institutional capacities in conducting different types of research evidence syntheses. We conduct priority setting exercises with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and researchers to prioritize review topics on health policy and health systems research. faith Bangladesh prepares summaries and holds deliberative dialogues to promote the uptake of evidence from systematic reviews and rapid reviews on prioritized topics into policies.
